Couples 4-Week Wheel Throwing Class
Summary: Perfect for couples looking to try their hand at the potter’s wheel in a supportive, relaxed environment. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or for couples/friends looking to learn a new skill together just because!
What You’ll Learn: A wheel throwing demonstration will be provided. Students will also learn how to center clay, pull basic cylinder shapes, and create functional pieces like mugs, vases, small bowls, or ring dishes. Over the four weeks, hone your skills with feedback provided by Jess and create fun, functional pieces to liven up your every day!
Included: 10 lb. of clay, use of studio tools, firing, glazing services for each person.
Duration: One initial 2-hour workshop, followed by three 1.5 hr workshops.
Take Aways: One finished piece each per session of your making that will be trimmed and glazed by the artist (YOU pick the glaze!), memories, and a new skill! Additional pieces may be purchased.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes (no loose-fitting sleeves) and shoes you don't mind getting dirty; trim fingernails for best results. Leave finger/wrist jewelry at home - we don’t want to get it dirty! Long hair must be secured. An apron will be provided for in-studio use.
Pick-Up Timeline: Finished, glazed pieces are ready for collection within 2 to 4 weeks after lessons are completed. Shipping available at additional cost.
Age Limit: Ages 16+ for general adult classes.
Cancellation Policy: Full refunds available up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. Cancellations within 48 hours of class are non-refundable, but eligible for one-time free rescheduling. Two or more missed sessions will result in forfeiture of fee and inability to reschedule.
